The indoor tennis court has never seen (or heard) anything like it.
They all came – kids, oldies, fit ones and not-so-fit-but-who-cares ones – from every section of the club along with friends and neighbours – and all dressed for the occasion.
Hot pink, lime green, neon yellow, all dancing (sort of), jumping and twirling to the beat. “Everyone had a great time and that’s really what it was all about,” said Lisa P, who organised it along with Jayne F and Ruth S.
But it was about fundraising for two important causes too and the final tally was an awesome £2018.50from ticket and raffle sales.
“It was a great night and we will definitely do it again,” said Jayne. Meanwhile, many thanks to everyone who came along and to the instructors who gave their time for free – that’s (l to r bottom right above) Lisa from Zumba Oldham, Anna from Zumba Astley, Natalie from the Waterside plus Nicky and Bethan from our own Club.
And a special mention to teens Millie, Georgie, Georgina and Izzy (above bottom left) who coach with Lisa P and put on an inspirational dance routine. Thanks girls!
